Over time, battery terminals can become worn and stretched, not allowing the battery terminal clamp to tightly secure to the battery. There are two options - replace the battery terminal clamp connector or these shims. Slip them on the battery post and they will fill the void, allowing the existing terminal clamps to create a secure connection to the battery.
