Remy Battery Milwaukee Rebuild Updates
The weather outside has been brutal, but the rebuilding of the Remy Battery Milwaukee location is starting to pick up steam! If you follow us on social media, you have seen some of our updates after the arson we experienced. It is hard to believe it has been a year already.
Despite a lot of hurdles such as COVID-19, we have been pushing forward with the very appreciated help of our contractors. We especially want to thank Sid Grinker for the fire and water damage restoration, Rinderle Door for replacing our doors, A.J. Iverson Heating & Air Conditioning for getting our heat going, Preferred Electrical and W.E. Energies for getting our power going!
With the help of these great teams, we are looking optimistically to have a Grand Re-Opening in the summer! We are still currently working out of our warehouse building located at 4325 W Lincoln Ave, one building to the west of the original retail store. We will keep you updated on the progress and dates for the opening on social media and right here in our monthly Remy Report. Don't forget you can always shop online and have your items delivered to you as well!
If you have a custom cable need, we can do that as well! Either online or in store, we can cut almost any kind of cable and connectors that you could ever want! If you aren't too well versed in cables, it's not problem. We have battery experts standing by to help you through the process.
February is Choc Full of Important Dates
February 18th is not only President's Day, but is also National Battery Day. To the battery industry, the month of February is when we focus on education and action towards being responsible in recycling.
While proper handling and recycling of batteries is something that we do in the battery industry every day of the year, this month especially, we want to invite you to join us. Spring cleaning is around the corner and this is a great time to get a head start on cleaning out junk drawers and recycling old batteries. That old car battery collecting dust in your garage will even put a few dollars in your pocket when you bring it in!
Through conscious effort, the lead battery market boasts over a 99% recycling rate, and we would love to see that high of a percentage expand across all battery chemistries. With your help, together we can help ensure that we have a cleaner planet for the future generations to enjoy. We hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day! Make sure to spend some time with your loved ones. Whether your loved ones are human, have four tires or change the channels on your TV, we have the batteries and accessories to make sure they have the charge to make your Valentine's Day great. AED's can be extremely beneficial to saving someone's life in an emergency, but often are forgotten about until needed. Remy wants to remind you to check the dates on the batteries on the AED at your workplace and ensure they are charged up. Remy offers these battery replacements listed above.
