Associated Equipment Battery Reset Tool, Model 12-0200

The Associated Equipment 12-0200 is a battery reset / relearn tool for modern vehicles with advanced battery management systems. Battery management systems monitor battery discharge and charging to ensure the battery is operating at its peak performance. When the battery is due for replacement the battery monitoring system will need to be reset. Failure to reset the this system could result in premature failure of the replacement battery, issues with start/stop functionality, shutdown of non-essential electrical systems. If a condemned battery is replaced and new battery is not validated, the battery management module will continue to manage the battery in an “assumed” degraded state, so it is critical that the diagnostic validation takes place.
